Bob is currently in the Plant Operations group at NuScale Power. His 40 year nuclear career began in 1982 in the U.S. Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Electrician. In 1991 he began his commercial nuclear experience as a plant operator at D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, including holding a Reactor Operator License and Senior Reactor Operator Certification. During his time at Cook, he held Control Room Operator, Work Control Center Supervisor, and Licensed Operator Training Instructor positions. Bob joined NuScale in 2017 and actively supports various projects for the NuScale DCA and SDA applications. He is involved in integrated system validation, load following and flexible power operations strategy, technical training and training services development, site design application system design review, and NuScale licensed operator staffing requirements.
