William ‘John’ has a lifetime of experience in automotive, heavy diesel, and mining equipment maintenance. He started his career as an owner operator of his own trucking company. From there he moved into a motorsports engine machine shop role as a builder. From there he moved into the underground mining maintenance field as a technician. John began his career at Pepsi 9 years ago as a second shift tech, moved to the Shop Lead in Buffalo, and then Fleet coordinator for NY. He earned Certified Transportation Professional designation from the National Private Truck Council in 2015. John transferred to Frito-Lay in Orlando as a second shift tech for the OTR trucks, moved again up to Shop Lead. He then switched to the Route truck side, IMO, as a Fleet Resource for Florida and then finally as a Capability Manager for the HQ Fleet Team. For the HQ team, John works in a number of roles such as tech training, owner of the PM program, pioneering predictive maintenance, shop infrastructure, diagnostics, analytics, and emerging technologies for new assets (EV, CNG etc.).
