This session will describe how a Specialty Chemicals plant is on its path to attaining carbon neutrality through an end-to-end approach to measure, monitor, and report real-time emissions measurement and innovative emissions reduction. We will also learn about advancements in operator training that historically focused on retaining information and performing tasks or following procedures. However, recent progress in understanding troubleshooting tactics, the impact of alarm systems and how operators make critical decisions have led to fundamental changes in learning approaches and the development of tacit knowledge and mental models to improve operational safety and better ESG performance.
