In addition to being an Operation Technology Architect for Aera Energy, Allen also carries the title of Control Systems Design and Development Supervisor. Allen started his career as a roughneck on onshore drilling rigs. However, he spent most of his career on a drilling rig offshore. He had the privilege of working his way to toolpusher before becoming the electrician on Exxon’s Platform Heritage. Allen’s career has taken many turns over the years, including Communication Technician, I&E Technician, Programmer, Senior Programmer, Automation Technician, Analyst, and now OT Architect.
