After getting a Doctor of Chemical Engineering at Kyoto University Graduate School in March 1985, Dr. Hashimoto became a professor at the Nagoya Institute of technology in April 2003. He is engaged in research such as process system engineering, process control, and support for persons with disabilities. He is a member of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers and the Society of Chemical Engineering.
