Yoshihiro Hashimoto joined Nagoya Institute of Technology in 1985, after graduating from Kyoto University in chemical engineering. His major research area is process systems engineering, focusing on process control. In 2011, he became a member of the control system security investigation working groups of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). In 2016, he became a member of “Cyber-Security for Critical Infrastructure” in Cross-Ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) of Cabinet Office, Government of Japan.
