Wilfried studied electrical engineering until 1996. Today he works as an experienced and global industry manager for chemicals and pharmaceuticals with many years of experience as a project manager and instrument engineer in the chemical industry. Wilfried has been with Phoenix Contact since 2008; until 2014 as manager in the product marketing Interface Analog and then in the market development process industry. From 2016, in his position as Director of Industry Management for Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, he has driven the digital transformation together with his customers and partners. As an active participant in the working groups of NAMUR, ZVEI and the Open Group, he is jointly shaping the new trends in Modular Automation (MTP), the NAMUR Open Architecture (NOA), and the Open Process Automation Standard (O-PASTM).
