Stuart’s cybersecurity research includes his co-authored book Computer Security in 1979. In 2014, he founded Cybersecurity at MIT Sloan. Stuart holds a Ph.D. in computer science from MIT and has been on the MIT faculty since 1972.  He is an author of more than 400 books or articles. His research includes Big Data, semantic connectivity, and database technology. Stuart was a developer of IBM's VM/370 and Lockheed's DIALOG system. He has been a co-founder of five high-tech firms and operates the 14th-century Langley Castle Hotel in England.
