Shogo Kaneko is a leader in promoting company-wide Digital Transformation (DX) projects and value creation activities through data utilization, and has been in his current position since 2019. After obtaining a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, he joined Sumitomo Chemical in 2003, where his career started in production technology and process development as a process engineer. After a 13-year-experience in production sites, and then moving to the head office, he promoted DX activities in the manufacturing factory for the next three years from 2016.
