Schneider Electric’s Acquisition of MWPowerlab s.r.l. Adds Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Technology to Software Portfolio

Schneider Electric announced the acquisition of MWPowerlab s.r.l., a software company with 3D real-time technology.  This acquisition adds Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technology to Schneider Electric’s industrial software portfolio.  This acquisition will enhance Schneider Electric’s solutions offerings, providing increased Immersive Simulation and Training capabilities and 3D visualization to its customers.  This technology will also further enhance the Schneider Electric Enterprise Asset Performance Management platform.

Schneider Electric and MWPowerlab have a history of delivering Immersive Operator Training and Simulation solutions that help to increase safety standards, improve labor effectiveness and increase asset performance to its customers globally.  This well-established working relationship is expected to continue post-acquisition, with the MWPowerlab team bringing domain expertise to Schneider Electric to help drive continued innovation and digitization of the value chain.
