Ron joined SRP in 2004 where he worked his way through operations and then moved on to work with the DCS on a controls upgrade/migration project. Starting in 2010 he began working on a high fidelity simulator focusing on operator/maintenance training and DCS application development and testing. In 2014 he returned to operations as a shift supervisor and experienced firsthand the success and needs with the OTS. This has led to continued improvements to the simulation program/models and the recent implementation of expanded scenarios and trainee performance monitors. Previously he has built scaffold, served as a Certified Lubrication Analyst, and designed/installed 28 remote alternative energy sites. Ron is also active designing and programming a novel encryption system focused on cybersecurity and private communications.
