Rob has played a crucial and often hands-on role in all three legs of the critical infrastructure stool (IT, OT, Cyber).  He has spent many years bringing standards and rigor to IT and cybersecurity and is now doing the same within the OT space.  Prior to this role, Rob was the Principal for IT Operations and the Information and Cyber Security program at American Water. Before leading the Cyber program, he led the Enterprise Architecture Team and was also the lead for data networking and infrastructure security covering both the business and industrial control environments. Rob has been with American Water for 15 years and has 28 years of experience in IT and security. He is a member of multiple organizations, including ISC2, ASIS and the AWWA.  For the ASIS Security Council, he helped author “Security On The Internet of Things” and for the AWWA, he was an SME on their "Process Control System Security Guidance for the Water Sector" document.  He is engaged with several vendors on their strategic roadmaps and is invited to customer advisory groups. Rob has also been a panel member at NARUC, NAWC, and various Commissions speaking on cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IoT.
