Richard is responsible for all control, instrumented protective systems, DCS infrastructure and applications at Sullom Voe Terminal. The Terminal is over 40 years old with a wide range of technology from pneumatics to Foundation Fieldbus and everything in between. He has a strong focus on DCS, metering, ESD, and fire & gas systems. Richard is proficient in integrated control and shutdown system equipment, including design, engineering, and implementing solutions. Richard is a cybersecurity professional, responsible for all industrial automation and control systems on site. He has over 26 years’ experience in oil and gas in a variety of positions within engineering, projects and operations.
