ARC Associate Mike Williams and I are working on a survey for procedural automation in the process industries. More details below.  If you take the survey you get a consolidated copy of the results.

The survey is located at Level of Procedural Automation Survey.

Overview
Procedural automation in both batch and continuous processes has been deployed to improve operational performance by reducing human error associated with both routine and non-routine tasks.  These techniques are defined in the ISA 88 and emerging ISA 106 standards.  This survey is being conducted to evaluate the various levels of procedural automation that are currently deployed in the process industries.  Based on responses to the survey, an analysis will be performed to determine the current state of procedural automation deployment, define areas of opportunity, and the estimate the interest level to further invest in these technologies.

Who should take this survey?
Executives, managers, and operators that are responsible for procedural automation in both batch and continuous processes.

Privacy
All responses will be strictly confidential.  No individual or company specific information will be disclosed.  All responses will be tallied and only aggregated results will be published.

Benefits
All participants will receive a FREE survey summary report upon publication that will help gain valuable insight into how your peers view the current state of procedural automation deployment, and it will determine the interest level to further invest in these technologies.
