Michelle’s passion for finding sustainable problem-solving outcomes led her to become the global leader of the Manufacturing Analytics team at Dow. She heads a committed team of data science practitioners who help manufacturing plants become more efficient and reliable by using their data more effectively. This is accomplished by means of an enterprise data analysis and collaboration space that ties multiple plants together with Technology Center and R&D resources to troubleshoot in real time, or preemptively detect and alert plants of trouble well before crisis. Michelle joined Dow in 2005 as an analytical chemist, providing non-routine analyses and support for trouble-shooting and problem-solving. Prior to joining Dow, she worked as a Research Chemist at the U. S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), an Analytical Chemist at Syngenta Crop Protection, and in the Mass Spectrometry Facility of the Chemistry Department at Louisiana State University.
