S&T Group, an IT and software services company, acquired the embedded computing manufacturer Kontron in 2017. Leveraging software services from S&T and the embedded computing products of Kontron, Laurent is driving the combined organization toward innovative “edge to fog to cloud” solutions. Laurent joined Kontron in 2016 as VP of Engineering and was then successively promoted to CTO of Kontron and S&T Group overall. He is a seasoned executive who, during 15 years at STMicroelectronics, drove numerous innovations to products, as a division general manager, a CTO or chief system architect. He started his career as an engineer in research and in the consumer group at Philips in Paris. Laurent holds an engineering degree from Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble, France (INPG-PHELMA).
