Larissa is an Architect and Urbanist with a diverse background including multiple professional and academic experiences related to energy efficiency, urban sciences, and construction management.  As a Lighting Specialist working for an American company based in Atlanta, she developed energy efficiency and economic feasibility analysis for LED conversion and smart lighting projects for buildings and urban spaces.  She has broad research in IoT, Big Data, and other smart technologies and the implications of their deployment on street lighting infrastructure and cities.  As a member of IEEE PES, she is following the discussions regarding standardization and the state of the art of the smart technologies.  Larissa has been connected to multiple stakeholders of smart cities environments in Brazil.  Currently, she is collaborating with the Brazilian Ministry of Regional Development (former Ministry of Cities) in the elaboration of the Brazilian Directive for Smart Cities (Work Group of Systemic Impacts of the Digitalization of Cities).
