Kim Hock Teo has over 30 years’ experience in the process automation industry. He joined the industry in 1990 after graduating from UMIST with an M.E (Master of Engineering) in Advanced Manufacturing. Later, to acquire more knowledge in advanced process control, he did an M.E in Electrical Engineering from NUS. His work experience revolves around the development of advanced solutions. In 1999, he established Yokogawa’s Global Advanced Process Control Center to spearhead the development of Advanced Solutions. He finalized the alliance with Shell Global Solutions to bring Shell Multivariable Optimizing Control (SMOC) to users. Kim Hock Teo has worked in the US, Middle East, Japan, and Europe and this has given him global exposure and a good understanding of different cultures.
