Karl is the Global Asset Performance Management and Safety Digital Leader for ABB’s Energy Industries Division, within the Process Automation Business. He has nearly 35 years of work experience in the process industries. Karl has been a TUV Functional Safety Engineer and was involved with software and digital solutions for over 15 years. He is also a member of the Institute of Measurement and Control. After spending a large part of his career supporting clients throughout various phases of the process and functional safety lifecycle and leading ABB’s Safety Lifecycle Management software solutions, Karl’s portfolio now includes the responsibility for ABB’s Energy Industries Asset Performance Management solution. He aims to support the industry customers by enabling safe, smart, and sustainable operations, through driving integrated solutions and leading-edge technologies and services that automate, digitalize, and optimize their facilities.
