At the recent ARC Forum, I spoke with Smadar David, CEO of Vanti AI, where we discussed how Vanti AI uses AI to help manufacturers accelerate their manufacturing outcomes at scale. Smadar David highlighted Vanti AI's focus on predictive quality and process optimization, with the aim of reducing scrap and saving time and costs.

One specific application of Vanti AI's services that David discussed was predictive quality. By detecting defects early in the manufacturing process, manufacturers can save valuable time, resources, and money by reducing the need for rework or scrap. David explained that Vanti AI achieves this through leveraging AI from existing data sources such as video footage of manual assembly processes, as well as data from sensors that document pressure, time, temperature, and more.

In addition to legacy IoT data, Vanti AI also uses subject matter experts' domain knowledge to improve its AI models. By taking feedback from domain experts on controllable parameters and limits, Vanti AI can create better AI applications that serve the subject matter experts' specific needs. David noted that Vanti AI's platform is designed to be easy to use for subject matter experts, with a no-code environment that allows them to create their own AI applications quickly and without the need for data science or coding capabilities.

I then asked David about Vanti AI's implementation process for plant operators interested in using Vanti AI's systems. She explained that Vanti AI's platform is designed to be consumed incrementally, with a focus on solving specific problems and challenges efficiently. Vanti AI's method involves fetching only the necessary data for a given problem, rather than collecting all plant data from every machine and system. She highlighted an example where Vanti AI only used two data sets to fuel a model that generated value within two weeks.

Overall, my conversation with Smadar David highlighted how Vanti AI uses AI to help manufacturers optimize their processes and reduce costs. By leveraging existing data sources, including video footage of manual assembly processes and data from sensors, Vanti AI can predict defects early in the manufacturing process, saving valuable time and resources. With a platform designed for subject matter experts, Vanti AI makes it easy for manufacturers to create their own AI applications quickly and incrementally, without the need for data science or coding capabilities.
