Hajime Sugiyama has been working in automation for more than 20 years in areas such as PLC production planning, greenfield projects like the U.S. Big 3 Powertrain plant, and general management at Mitsubishi Electric offices throughout Europe. More recently he has been leading the global expansion of e-F@ctory (Mitsubishi Electric’s Digital Manufacturing concept) and its associated ecosystem, helping many customers with their IIoT installations. Furthermore, Hajime is a well-known international speaker, giving insights on cutting-edge technologies such as 5G, AI, data analytics, edge computing, and robotics and how they will impact the modern factory floor.
