Fumihiro Miyoshi joined Daicel in 2007 and has been promoting production innovation initiatives as a factory staff member for 10 years. In 2017, he became the project leader for the construction of a next-generation production system and started joint research with the University of Tokyo. Three years of work from concept to design, development, and offline verification were followed by online verification testing at the company's Aboshi factory in 2020. In 2021, the Monozukuri Production Innovation Center was established to implement the system at each plant.
