Doug leads AVEVA’s Monitoring & Control business which includes our HMI/SCADA offers from the Edge to the Enterprise at a time when most of our strong customer base is facing a new set of challenges. These challenges include cloud and SaaS strategies, IT/OT convergence, cybersecurity, edge management, sustainability, energy transition and digital transformation to name a few. Immediately after the AVEVA transaction in 2018, Doug led all aspects of AVEVA’s global engagement with Schneider Electric including go-to-market collaboration and technology sharing. Prior to that, he built a new Industry Solutions business as part of Schneider Electric Software in Singapore and before that he was in Sydney, Australia managing Schneider’s software assets including Citect, Ampla, SolveIT and SmartWater. Doug came to Schneider as part of the acquisition of SCADAgroup in 2010 and continued to lead the Telemetry and Remote SCADA Solutions team from Canada until moving to Australia late in 2013. Before the SCADAgroup he spent 6 years with Rockwell Automation as the Director of Manufacturing and Process Solutions for Canada, and 13 years with ITT Barton Instruments in various sales, marketing and product management roles providing measurement, automation, and software solutions to the Upstream O&G sector. He graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 1985 with a degree in Natural Gas and Petroleum Engineering Technology.
