Doug is the expert for innovative process control technology in the US. His background is in automation and control where he has led DCS projects for small and large processes, with a focus on the chemical industry. These ranged from continuous, batch, or process safety type of applications, and always enjoyed the commissioning of the projects. In addition, Doug has spent time as Technical Support Engineer helping customers with root cause analysis, recommendation for improvements, and ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction. Thereafter Doug journeyed into a Technical Consulting/Product Management role, where he worked in Karlsruhe, Germany on the future of process control. Today, Doug leads innovative products into the US respective to DCS and simulation. In addition to the portfolio elements of his role, he thoroughly enjoys staying up to date with the latest trends in the market such as advanced physical layer, module type production, open process automation, and the overall digital enterprise, that is likely coming to a facility near you.
