David received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech in 2017 where he developed novel attacks and defenses for industrial control system (ICS) networks. His work includes demonstrating the first proof of concept ransomware attack on an ICS facility at the 2017 RSA conference, developing techniques to detect malicious modifications to industrial controllers, and releasing free innovative ICS security training software at the 2018 Black Hat USA conference. He is also Co-founder of Fortiphyd Logic.
