Daniel is a Chemical Engineer with over 25 years of experience working in US Refining, the Canadian Oil Sands, and South Korea.  He spent over 16 years in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands working at HESS/HOVENSA Refinery in leadership roles in process engineering, maintenance and reliability, and continuous improvement.  Danile joined Suncor in 2012 as an Operations Manager & Cross Functional Team Lead and helped ensure the safe and reliable detailed design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and sustained operation of Secondary Extraction – the 202,000BPD High Temperature Paraffinic Froth Treatment portion of the greenfield Fort Hills Mine & Extraction facility.  He then transitioned into his current role where he is leading the sustainment and continuous improvement of maintenance and reliability processes practices, tools, and results enterprise wide across all of Suncor’s facilities in Canada and the US.  Daniel is also leading the strategic roadmap for the Asset Performance Management program across Suncor as part of Suncor 4.0 journey towards digital transformation and operational excellence.
