Rockwell Automation hosted its 25th Automation Fair in Atlanta, Georgia November 9th and 10th.  This followed its Process Solutions User Group on November 7th and 8th.  The company used these venues to make numerous product announcements that continue extending the company’s vision of “The Connected Enterprise” to all production assets.  Rockwell Automation’s new President and CEO, Blake Moret, defines The Connected Enterprise as “delivering transformational value in productivity, sustainability, and global competitiveness.”  That theme permeated the entire event, which featured about 172 Rockwell Automation and partner exhibits, 95 technical sessions, 19 labs, and nine industry forums.  Attendance at Automation Fair was estimated at over 10,000, of which about 7,000 were customers.

Market Drivers Impact Rockwell Automation’s Vision
Mr. Moret opened Automation Fair for the global press and analyst community on November 8th at Automation Perspectives, Rockwell Automation’s media event.  He laid out the company’s vision for the automation market and its role within it.  He emphasized three major and interrelated market drivers impacting the company’s business strategies.

This includes the rise of the middle class in emerging markets that is causing a global increase in demand for consumer products and automation in consumer manufacturing.
