Bart is general manager of Process Industries Software at Siemens. Prior to that, he was CEO of CIS, Comos Industry Solutions, responsible for portfolio development, delivery service and sales of Comos, XHQ, PlantSight and innovations around the process digital twin. He served as vice president of the Market Development Board Pharma of Siemens AG, where his responsibilities included account development, strategic projects, and the software portfolios SIPATTM (process analytical technology) and eBR (MES for regulated industries). Bart started his profession in the chemical industry at DSM and gained experience in process optimization within Philips as a supplier to the automotive industry. Bart holds a master’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering with a specialization in polymers, and a master’s degree in applied economics.
