Andreas holds diploma (FH) in mechanical as well as in industrial engineering. He started his professional career in 1999 at Trütschler, a medium-sized manufacturer of textile machines. For this company, he worked as a Technical Director in India and China. In 2004, Andreas joined Michael Weinig, a manufacturer of wood processing and working machines. First, he was in Yantai, China, as a member of the Management Board; then, two years later, he went to Switzerland as Managing Director of the local subsidiary. In 2009, Andreas was appointed Managing Director of the German Hess Group, a company active in mechanical and plant engineering with an international focus. In mid 2010, he joined Schaeffler Technologies and took up the management post for the production and logistics activities at the largest location in Wuppertal. There, he was responsible for the manufacturing facilities in Romania, China, India, and USA. Since November 2015, Andreas has been working for the HARTING Technology Group as Senior Vice President Operations.
