By coincidence, ARC was speaking with Western Services Corp about their operator training simulation products this past week, so ARC had a chance to get some inside views. Western Services Corp was previously a private company and is looking forward to being part of a much larger organization that works in the nuclear and fossil power generation and process industries. Where Curtis Wright provides reactor pumps, valves, and safety protection equipment this complements the simulation software and operator training capability that Western Services Corp provides to allow a more comprehensive level of support from a single integrated supplier. Both Wester Services Corporation and Curtiss Wright have been working on the latest generation Small Modular Reactors (SMR), and new advanced nuclear reactor designs.
