Subhash oversees and manages the marketing and delivery of federal power from the Central Valley and Washoe projects to irrigation districts, joint power agencies, cities and towns, public utility districts, military and Federal research installations, and educational institutions in California. Prior to this assignment he was the Regional Information Officer for Sierra Nevada and oversaw the information technology group, including SCADA operations and substation automation. Subhas has been with Western for 15 years in various roles, supporting power operations, power marketing, SCADA operations, IT, reliability compliance, and cybersecurity. He briefly acted as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Power Systems Engineering research and development group in the Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability. He has received several recognitions in his career, namely, DOE Secretary’s Appreciation Award for his contribution to the Joint Outreach Team to conduct a public outreach process and craft recommendations for improving the operation and modernization of Western’s transmission grid.
