Paul is a leading practitioner in Asset Performance Management (APM), reliability, and maintenance improvement methodologies. He is also the current chair for the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP). He has hands-on experience in APM, reliability, maintenance, operations, and engineering in the chemical, oil & gas, steel, aluminum, automotive, consumer goods and construction industries. His current areas of interest include enterprise risk management, modeling and mitigation, operational excellence, value creation through APM, advanced predictive technologies, machine learning, and reliability analytics. Paul has served on the University of Tennessee's Reliability and Maintenance Center Board of Advisors, the SMRPCO Advisory Council, Chair of the SMRP Best Practices Committee, the SMRP Education Committee and served on the API-691 Risk Based Management for Machinery subcommittee. He is a member of ASQ and IEEE.
