From large arctic offshore production unit engineering to gas production plant maintenance, Matias has successfully driven his career in the French oil & gas major TotalEnergies for more than a decade. He started his career as a junior mechanical engineer in a project engineering team in an ultra large floating production unit designed to face the harsh environment of the arctic Barents Sea. He first landed on the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) known as Dalia, a hundred miles off the coast of Angola, in 2011. He then became an offshore maintenance superintendent in Myanmar, driving a team to ensure the production of some 130.000 boe from the Andaman Sea Yadana gas field. Matias was then given the opportunity to take advantage of his field experience at the promising RAID, the Remote Monitoring, Intervention and Diagnosis center, in the heart of Total’s rotating equipment expertise.
