Derek is part of the Hydro Specialist team at Lucky Peak Power Plant. For the last five years, he has led integration-based projects in network architecture at the equipment level, SCADA system development and the unitization of RTUs, PLCs, and other remote I/O systems. He is responsible for the High-Performance HMI design using Inductive Automation’s Ignition with an emphasis on Alarm Drowning and digitalization of plant assets. His focus is on developing and implementing an Industry 4.0 environment that benefits the shareholders of the Lucky Peak Power Plant.
